Program Description
The purpose of this program is to provide respiratory care professionals with evidence-based insights into the use of asymmetrical high flow therapy in COPD management. The session will review the physiological effects, explore supporting clinical evidence, and highlight opportunities for incorporating this therapy into standard COPD care practices.

Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:
  • Review the fundamental concept of asymmetrical high flow therapy.
  • Discuss the impact of asymmetrical high flow therapy on the physiology of a chronic COPD patient.
  • Evaluate the clinical evidence supporting asymmetrical high flow therapy.
  • Discuss the opportunities to incorporate asymmetrical high flow therapy into COPD management.


It is estimated that this activity will take approximately 1 hour to complete. To receive 1 credit, the learner must receive a minimum score of 80% on the post-test. Only 1 attempt is permitted to reach the 80% score.
